Dashing Deer with Bokeh Dots

I love the stylized deer from the Dashing Deer stamp set.  It is perfect as an all-occasion card and as a holiday card.  This card was created using three plates on my Stamparatus.

To create the stamped art piece using my Stamparatus, I first centered the star burst image from Bokeh Dots stamp set on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I inked the top half of the Bokeh Dots stamp using a sponge dauber and Balmy Blue ink until I achieved the desired color without a “hard” line.  Next, I repeated the process by inking the bottom half of the Bokeh Dots stamp using a different sponge dauber and Granny Apple Green ink, taking care to blend the green into the blue.

Using post-it notes to protect the white space, I stamped the five tree image from Winter Woods stamp set in Early Espresso.  Then I removed the post-it notes, placed the deer partially in the white space, and stamped the two deer several times.  I continued to re-ink the deer stamps until the images were consistent and solid image.

The stamped art piece was double matted using Granny Apple Green and Early Espresso.
