These Amazing Life cards were designed by Tanya Rees, another member of Stampin’ Up’s 2019 Artisan Design Team and featured on the Stampin’ Up Facebook page.
She created these cards using the Amazing Life stamp set, Gingham Gala designer series paper, Whisper White Baker’s Twine, Calypso Coral Ombre Ribbon, Colored Doilies and some sequins from Iridescent Sequins Assortment for a little glam!
Each card uses two techniques: (1) one-on-tone stamping technique to create the stamped background by repeatedly stamping an image on cardstock using the same color ink or VersaMark ink; and (2) heat embossing the stamped sentiment and a few stamped images with embossing powder and fussy cutting them with her paper snips.
I love how Tanya uses these doilies in her designs — to draw your eye to the focal point that birthday cake.
The fussy-cut cake image and the word cake were colored with markers. The words “too short” were stamped with VersaMark ink on Balmy Blue cardstock and then heat embossed with white embossing powder and her heat tool.
Plus, the little extra detail was added to the sentiment panel with that sweet scalloped edgelit die from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.
The same techniques were repeated on this second card. Here, Tanya used VersaMark ink for the tone-on-tone background. When VersaMark ink dries, it leaves a watermark for creating that tone-on-tone effect. The word “life” was stamped with VersaMark ink on Petal Pink cardstock and heat set with white embossing powder and heat tool.
The flower images were stamped on Whisper White cardstock using Jet Black Stazon ink, colored and fussy cut to create extra embellishments. And, once again, she repeated that little extra detail for the sentiment panel using that sweet scalloped edgelit die from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits.
For this last card, Tanya used the four-leaf clover images stamped in Jet Black Stazon ink on the Lemon Lime Twist piece of Gingham Gala designer series paper. Here the doily is partially hidden so that the sentiment is showcased with a circle diecut from the Stitched Shapes Framelit dies as the focal point.
I love how each card of Tanya’s three cards complements each other, but they are all so different!
Tanya and I invites you to Copy and Share Everything (CASE) her designs and techniques to create these projects using the Amazing Life stamp set, or to Copy and Selectively Edit (another definition of CASE) using your favorite stamps.
Until next time, sending you crafting hugs and inspiration wishes!
