The Butterfly Beauty Thinlits dies are one of my favorite things from the new 2019 Occasions catalog — it can be found on page 13.  I just love the two piece delicate butterfly collage — which can be used together or separately.  Here, I just used the bolder of the two dies for a tone-on-tone look with Granite Gray die mounted on Galvanized Metallic paper dry embossed using the Corrugated embossing folder, and matted the entire piece with more Gray Granite.

Whether in vibrant color or monochromatic, the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits dies should be a staple in your craft room.  Think of all the beautify cards you can make with the Beauty Abounds Bundle

Snowflake Showcase — Fun with Diecuts

Recently, I became enchanted with these limited edition Snowfall Thinlits dies.  I have had so much fun creating beautiful projects.  This card is elegant in its simplicity — just stacking a few die cuts.  With this Early American, Amish or Scandinavian look, this card is appropriate year round.

First, I die cut the large snowflake in Cherry Cobbler and Pear Pizzazz.  Then diecut the flower in Mossy Meadow with a small heart in Real Red.  I used my Paper Snips to cut off the points of the snowflake in order to leave the rounded edge.

I used my Tombow Multi-purpose Glue (but the Fine-tip Glue Pen would be another excellent choice) to adhere and stack these die cuts.

The Hello, Friend sentiment was from the coordinating Happiness Surrounds photopolymer stamp set, which is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.

For this card, I used a piece of Wood Textures DSP stack and stamped the medallion from Happiness Surrounds stamp set in Balmy Blue ink several times to create a unique background piece.  Then I matted the background piece with Balmy Blue and Crumb Cake cardstock.  Using a scrap of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the striped flower in Flirty Flamingo and die cut it with my Big Shot machine.  The leaves are punched from Mint Macaron cardstock using the Leaf Punch.  Using more scrap pieces of Whisper White and Crumb Cake cardstock, I die cut several delicate leaves and flowers.  The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and punched using the Classic Label punch.

Spruce Up your Card Designs with DSP

The Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper is festive yet traditional, and its beautiful  patterns will make the perfect backdrop for your Christmas cards.

Here, I matted a 4″x5-1/4″ piece of DSP with 4-1/4″x5-1/2″ piece of Gold Foil.  I used stamped the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink on Whisper White cardstock to make a simple banner.  The deer was diecut from Gold Foil with a piece of gold metallic thread tied in a bow.  And, the card front was embellished with some gold metallic pearls.

DSP - under the mistletoe.jpg

If you are mass producing Christmas cards, you will love using designer series paper pack.  A package of Under the Mistletoe DSP comes with two sheets of 12 different designs — in Stampin’ Up! coordinating colors of Early Espresso, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Real Red, Shaded Spruce, Whisper White.  And, you can precut one sheet of DSP and make six cards quickly!

TIP:  To simplify card assembly, apply Multi-purpose Adhesive Sheets on the backside of the Gold Foil before die cutting the deer.  Now you will only have to remove the paper backing to attach the deer on the card front.
