This is your last chance to get amazing products from catalogs past without paying inflated eBay prices!  And, it is your opportunity to see and play with the amazing new products in the catalog.

If you are still uncomfortable with getting out and about, I completely understand!  You may shop the list of BOGO items and place an order by phone with me (because I’ll want to chat with you).  And, I will send an email the following Monday with a list of the remaining BOGO items.  For that next week, they will be available on a first reply-first receive basis.

Over the past few weeks, I have been cleaning my shelves to make room for new stamps and products.  So, I am giving away my previously loved stamps and paper crafting products for FREE!  I am talking about things from past Stampin’ Up catalogs that you know and love, such as….

To take advantage of this “Buy One, Get One” offering, simply place an order from the new catalog and choose from a very large list of equal value products for FREE!

For example, if you place an order for $50 in new merchandise (less shipping and tax), then you can choose $50 in products from my previously-loved stamps and paper crafting products.  Shop early for best selection!  No exchanges and everything is offered “as is”.  Many products are offered at or below catalog price (no tax, no shipping)!  Stamps with coordinating products will only be offered together.

  • If you place an order with payment at the Open House, you may take your BOGO items with you and I will update my previously loved list so that others know what is still available.
  • If you place an order online with payment (using Host Code- ST9A923F), please tell me what products you want for free from my previously loved list.  I will put them aside for you along with the make & take cards.  We can arrange a pickup date or you can pick up everything when your order arrives.
  • If you would like a complementary catalog, please let me know.  In the meantime, you can review the catalog online at

I do plan to have classes again and am working on my plan for how those will work and when they will be held.  And, I will continue to offer my Monthly Happy Kits for those of you who are unable to attend for any reason.  Be on the lookout for that announcement!  I am excited to see your faces again and look forward to crafting with you!

Sending crafting hugs and inspiration wishes!

Father’s Day is just around the corner!

rooted in nature fathers day card

Father’s Day is just around the corner and it is so important to recognize the important men in our lives.  Here is a masculine card that features Rooted in Nature stamp set, Nature’s Roots dies, Majestic Mountain dies and Well Said stamp set.

To create the card front, I layered embossed Crumbcake cardstock with Soft Suede cardstock.  So that embossed image of retired Woodland Embossing Folder popped, I sponged Soft Suede ink over the embossed image.  While the ink dried on the embossed piece, I die cut the trees images from Majestic Mountain dies cut in Garden Green cardstock.

To create a focal point, I choose to create a cluster of die cut and punched images.  Using the Rooted in Nature stamp set, I stamped the tree rings and small branch in Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla cardstock, and then stamped the three-leaf image with Garden Green ink on Very Vanilla.  These stamp images were die cut using Nature’s Root dies and my die cutting machine.  To fill in the cluster, I used the Spring Punch and Soft Suede cardstock.  The sentiment was created by stamping Well Said stamp set using Soft Suede ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and using my paper snips to create the blocks of words.

The card was assembled using Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Fortunately, Stampin’ Up offers a variety of adhesives in order to get the very best results while crafting.

Highland Heather Blossoms in Bloom

blossoms in Bloom highland heather

I love the Blossoms in Bloom, it’s another distinktive stamp set in the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog,  because I can achieve a professional watercolor look with just stamps, ink and paper.  It is so easy to create depth by stamping the large flower image in Highland Heather Ink, the smaller blooms in Pacific Point ink and the tiny blooms in Gorgeous Grape ink.  The flower centers were stamped in Daffodil Delight ink.  Using the small and large leaf images, I was able to add leaves in Granny Apple Green ink poking out behind the blooms.  This is a simple card that anyone can make and one that anyone would love to receive.Blossoms in Bloom catalog image

The sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set was stamped in Pacific Point ink on label die cut from Stitched So Sweetly dies.  Itty Bitty Greetings has stamped images for any occasion.  And, the Stitched So Sweetly dies lets me create beautiful tags and frames in a variety of sizes to create a focal point with sentiment.

Our totally transparent photopolymer stamps make it so easy to perfectly place each image and since our stamps cling like crazy to our clear blocks, I didn’t have to worry about stamps slipping off the blocks!

If you are interested in any of these products, please click here to visit my online store.  If you do not have a Stampin’ Up demonstrator, I would be happy to send you a complementary catalog and to assist you in your paper crafting journey.  Simply send me an email with your contact information, and I get it promptly in the mail to you!

Until next time, sending you crafting hugs and inspiration wishes!

Stampin Rewards

We are in unprecedented times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Unfortunately, some products will not be available at the launch of the catalog, such as our new cutting and embossing machines.   Some products will sell out quickly because many of our suppliers, like those companies that make our inkpad cases and ink refill bottles, are busy making plastic medical supplies.  To comply with federal and local guidance for the protection of workers, Stampin’ Up warehouse has reduced the number of workers per work shift while adding additional work shifts.  Unfortunately, shipments are running on a 5+ day delay from the warehouse.  If you really, really want to receive your order quickly, please choose “express shipping” at checkout with the understanding that there may be shipping delays by UPS, who is federally mandated to prioritize shipments of critical supplies first.  These are definitely unusual times, so thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.

PLACING AN ORDER TODAY?  If you are placing an order for $150 or more, I want you to enjoy all of the Host Rewards you have earned.  If your order is less than $150, I’d love for you please add this Host Code –  – when prompted. Thank you!

Until next time, sending you crafting hugs and inspiration wishes!

Stampin’ Spot Tips and Tricks

stampin spots ideas

If you love card kits or if you are (or have been) a Pumpkin Paper subscriber, then you probably have a collection of Stampin’ Spots.  These are the little 1″ inch pads are supper handy to own!  Here are some fun techniques to prove that some of the best things come in tiny packages.

  • Block Background:  Use the ink spot as a stamp. Grab some fun colors.  Turn over the Stampin’ Spot and apply it directly to the paper for the cutest card on the block.
  • Tasteful Texture: To mimic the wood grain, swipe the Stampin’ Spot across the stamps instead of pressing the stamp to the ink.
  • Layered Colors: Use the Stamparatus and apply the darkest colors around the edges of the image. Stamp. Clean the stamp and apply a lighter color in the center. Stamp again to create the look of a multicolored markered image.
  • Distressed Edging:  Swipe the ink spot over the edge of the cardstock – using the same swiping motion as a sponge or dauber – to define a layer or to create a distressed look.
  • Create a water color palette:  Apply small square of ink on a large acrylic block or window sheet and lift the color using a blender pen or a Clear Wink of Stella brush.

Other great advantages:

  • Fast drying, dye-based ink that coordinates with Stampin’ Up! cardstock, markers, and embellishments
  • The raised pads makes it easy to ink any size of rubber stamp.  To ensure good coverage, simply use a circular motion to tap ink onto the stamp.
  • Travel-sized and compact so that you are always ready to Stamp-on-the-go!
  • Stampin’ Spots are cost effective alternative for new stampers who want to get started with a smaller investment or stampers who may have limited storage space.
  • And, you can make your own small ink pads in the colors you need with Uninked Stampin’ Spots and Classic Stampin’ Ink Refills.  Just add 10-12 drops from the ink refill bottle and it is ready to use.  Similarly, you can re-ink the ink spots that you already own.

Until next time, sending you crafting hugs and inspiration wishes for a spot of color!

Introducing Cinnamon Cider, a new In Color for 2020-2022

in color cinnamon cider

I love having on-trend new In Colors for their exciting new color combinations.  In Colors are always on-trend, meaning that you will see them in latest fashions and home decor designs.  These five new In Colors for 2020-2022 work extremely well together and coordinate wonderfully with Stampin’ Up exclusive 40 core colors.  You can trust that every possible color combination imaginable will work perfectly together.

in color 2020 2022

So, say hello to the new 2020-2022 In Color called Cinnamon Cider.  This new, in-trend color is a warm golden brown — like the crust of a freshly baked loaf of cinnamon bread.  This is a color that we currently do not have in our color family offering; so, you are really going to enjoy crafting with it!

in color cinnamon cider

This card showcases many, many new products.  It is decorated using a card from the Flowers for Every Season Memories & More card pack, that is matted with another new In Color called Just Jade and that is embellished with a new Chevron Twill Ribbon in Bubblebee.  This card showcases a hint of another new In Colors called Bumblebee and Misty Moonlight.  The sentiment is from a brand new stamp set called Tasteful Touches.  The sentiment is punched from one of my favorite punches,  These products will be available for purchase June 3rd.

Did you notice how the sentiment was punched and matted?  There are lots of creative uses for your punches.  Here, I simply punched sentiment piece in Whisper White, and then punched two additional pieces in Just Jade cardstock using the Tailored Tag Punch.  By cutting, one punch lengthwise and the other punch widthwise, I could attach the pieces underneath the Whisper White sentiment punch to create a mat.  This is a very simple yet effective technique to use your punches.

Stay tuned for more sneak peeks.  Until next time, sending you crafting hugs and inspiration wishes.

Happy Graduation Class of 2020!

mountain air - andrew grad card

Class of 2020 will have a different story to tell.  Their college experience was cut short during their senior year by COVID-19 and stay at home orders.  So, we can make their college graduation extra special by making and sending homemade cards.

This card features the Mountain Air Bundle, that consists of the Mountain Air Stamp Set and the Majestic Mountain Dies.  The bundle pricing expires June 2nd — so if this bundle is on your wish list, you will want to purchase it soon so that you can enjoy that 10% savings.   Check out this video with George from Stampin’ Up home office in Utah.  I just love his enthusiasm for building mountain scene cards!

Use these seven reversible stamps in the Mountain Air Stamp Set to create a striking outdoor scene. One side (the flat side) of the photopolymer stamp features a silhouette image and the other side is a detailed line art image — to give you more creative options.  Simply add any greeting to create a card for any occasion.  Use the Majestic Mountains Dies to create beautiful trees, mountains, landscapes, and forests for cards and to quickly cut out stamped images from the stamp set.

Stampin’ Up Scrapbook Blog Hop

Scrapbook Blog Hop Banner

Welcome to the first Scrapbook Blog Hop sponsored by Ann Murray from Murray Stamps, Ink and I.  Our scrapbook designs showcase our favorite Stampin’ Up! products because scrapbooking is another creative outlet for using our paper stash  and for getting the most value from our punches, dies and other crafting supplies!

We are so glad you dropped by.  We made some great scrapbook pages to record our favorite memories — or — in my case, memories of a future date when my family gets together to celebrate Mother’s Day after the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions are lifted.

This month’s theme is anything *MOM & FAMILY* which to me represents a very full and beautiful life.  Because there are 25 people in my immediate family, I almost always make 2-page layouts because of all the photographs I take!  LOL!  This 2-page layout showcases the Ornate Garden Suite Collection, specifically Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper and Ornate Style Cling Stamp Set.

Scrapbook Blog Hop 2020-05 Ornate Garden

My inspiration is a March 2020 sketch from PageMap.comPageMaps is a wonderful resource for when you need a little creative inspiration for your scrapbooking as well as your cardmaking needs.

pagemap march 2020 inspiration

Cut Instructions:

For this 2-page layout, you will need 12×12 cardstock in So Saffron, Old Olive, and Early Espresso as well as two sheets from the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper.  These cut instructions will help you get the most out of your cardstock and DSP.  And, guess what?  You will still have plenty of beautiful DSP to support your card making needs.  So, be happy, be confident, chop your beautiful DSP!  I promise you will love the beautiful results of cutting and chopping your DSP to add pops of color in your scrapbook layouts and card designs.PageMap cut instructions 2020-05

This layout is great for using up scraps of cardstock to embellish your layout using Stampin’ Up punches.  For this layout, I used cardstock scraps in Mint Macaroon, Pear Pizzazz, Terracotta Tile and Whisper White.  I had so much fun creating these daisy embellishments using my favorite Stampin’ Up punches.  This layout would have been great with just the color from the cardstock and DSP.  However, the Tone-on-Tone stamping adds some depth while the Stampin’ Up punches add some wonderful dimension to step up this layout design taking it from great to fabulous!

Until next time, sending you crafting hugs and inspiration wishes!

P.S.  Did you realize Stampin’ Up products coordinate beautifully to make fabulous scrapbook pages?  Did you know that Stampin’ Up actually sells 12×12 cardstock?  Yes, everything used on this 2-page spread is available from Stampin’ Up.  We are very fortunate that Stampin’ Up recognizes the many needs of all paper crafters — both stampers and scrapbookers alike.  Stampin’ Up offers high-quality 12×12 cardstock in its exclusive core colors as well as 12×12 specialty papers — Foil Sheets, Vellum and Glimmer Paper.  Our 12×12 cardstock is sold by color collections, usually 2-4 sheets of every color in each package.  (Tip use the 8.5×11 cardstock for photo mats, diecuts and punches because packages of 8.5×11 cardstock are sold by individual colors and you get 24 sheets per package).  And of course, our cardstock coordinates perfectly with our Designer Series Paper packs that we love to purchase for cardmaking.  Scrapbooking is a great way to use that beautiful Designer Series Paper that we love and get more value from the punches, dies and other crafting supplies that we buy.  And, scrapbooking is a great way to use up our scraps from cardmaking.  It’s a win-win!

P.S.S   Punches used Daisy punch, Medium Daisy punch, Sprig punch, Leaf punch, Braided Border punch, 1/2″ Circle punch and 3/4″ Circle punch (retired).  Other products used:  Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, Terracotta Tile Classic Ink, Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Mini-Glue Dots, Pearlized Doily and Layering Circles Dies.  Because I love to use big scripty fonts on my scrapbook pages, the sentiment from Colorful Seasons stamp sets was perfect for this scrapbook layout.  One Final Tip:  Many of our Birthday, Friendship and Holiday themed stamps sets have great sentiments that can be used for title pages, journal headings as well as embellishments.  Take a good look at your stamps.  I am confident that you will find some great sentiments for stamping on your scrapbook layouts.  Sending Crafting Hugs/Lisa
